Why these tropes fit

Sybil Delling is a Diviner who receives prophetic visions from six unearthly Omens in her dreams. She has spent nine years living as a foundling in a great cathedral alongside her sister Diviners, who traded a decade of service for a home there. With their service nearly complete, her fellow Diviners begin vanishing one by one. A rude, heretical knight named Rodrick arrives at the cathedral, and though he holds no respect for Sybil's visions, she has no choice but to seek his help in finding them. Together they are forced on an impossible quest into the perilous, mist-cloaked world beyond the cathedral's cloister, where only a heretic can defeat a god.
