Why these tropes fit
Samantha Willan, a workaholic lawyer recovering from a recent breakup, retreats to cottage country hoping to avoid romance. Her plans unravel when she meets her mysterious new neighbor, Garrett Mortimer, whose eyes seem oddly fixed on her neck. Mortimer is a vampire rogue hunter assigned to track down a reported rogue vampire, but the sunny cottage setting makes the mission miserable. Despite his focus on the hunt, he can't stop thinking about Samantha, especially after spotting her skinny-dipping in the lake. After eight hundred years as a bachelor, he considers turning their volatile attraction into a lasting love.
