Why these tropes fit
In a color-divided kingdom where Reds are oppressed by silver-blooded rulers, Mare Barrow—a Red with extraordinary newblood abilities—plans to dethrone King Maven and free her people. After Cal, another Silver prince, betrayed her, Mare reluctantly allies with him and his Silver supporters alongside the rebel Scarlet Guard to wage war against Maven's forces. The conflict is complicated by a love triangle in which Mare must work with the boy who broke her heart to defeat the boy who fixates on reclaiming her. Maven's destructive obsession threatens everyone in his path as the rebellion fights to overthrow Norta's monarchy.
